William “Kenny” Kenneth Wood, 63, of Seabrook passed away December 24, 2022.
Born in Woodville, Texas, to Kenneth Wood and Betty Durham Wood, he was raised in Lufkin. A proud U.S. Army veteran, Texan and a Godly man, he enjoyed arrowhead hunting in East Texas, saltwater fishing, the great outdoors, traveling and spending time with his family and friends but especially with his grandchildren. Over his lifetime, he earned many awards and Certificates of Achievements including many for his military service as a lance missile crewman. Kenny was especially known for his outgoing personality, sense of humor, kindness and giving nature.
He is preceded in death by his father, Kenneth Wood.
Kenny is survived by his fiancé, Carolyn Lawrence of Seabrook; mother, Betty Wood-Russau of Huntington; children, Elisabeth Creel and husband, Jonathan of Hudson, Kathleen Wood of Mont Belvieu, William Wood of College Station, Samuel Wood of Colorado Springs, CO, and Amanda Wood of Beaumont; grandchildren, Kayden, Killian, Allisyn and Karter; the mother of his children, Laurie Mott Wood; siblings, Karl Wood of Hood River, OR, Kathy Wood of Alaska, and Karen Wood-Martin and husband, Eddie of Huntington; and numerous other family members and friends.
Funeral service will be held Friday, December 30, 2022, at 11 am at the Bethany Church in Colmesneil with burial to follow at the Bethany Cemetery. Visitation will be held Thursday from 6 pm until 8 pm at the Riley Funeral Home Chapel in Woodville, Tx.
