William David “Dub” Hock, 95, of Woodville went to be with his Lord and Savior October 7, 2021. He was born August 5, 1926 in Slocum, Texas to Joseph William Hock and Martha Hamilton Hock.
After completing high school, Dub went into the army and served in WWII. When he returned home he went to work for Texaco in Port Arthur. He worked there for 36 years and was a member of the Oil Workers International Union. He stood strong in his faith and was a Charter member and deacon at Calvary Baptist in Port Acres. After retiring he served with the Texas Baptist Men as a carpenter, traveling the nation and the world. He was a Blessing to all that knew him and will be greatly missed.
He is preceded in death by his parents; first wife and mother of his children, Sally Stelly Hock of 46 years; second wife, Lillie Martin Johnson Hock of 27 years and daughter, Janie Hock Galloway.
Dub is survived by his children, Robert Hock and Donna Hatton; grandchildren, Lisa LeClair and husband Orie, Michelle McGlothin and husband Jack, Rusty Hatton and wife Karen, Connie Sturrock and husband Stevan; and numerous great grandchildren, great great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Colt Weeks, Seth Sturrock, Trey Hatton, Tommy Schwartz, Tyler Hatton, Trevor Hatton. Honorary Pallbearers will be Mandy Gradney, Carlee Weeks, Cidney Sturrock.
Funeral service will be held Saturday, October 9, 2021, 10 am at Riley Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Colmesneil City Cemetery. Visitation will be held Friday, October 8, 2021, 5pm until 7pm at Riley Funeral Home.
