Wanda Muriel Chambless  Ogden  lost her battle with cancer and passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on her 86th birthday.

Wanda was a native and lifetime resident of Tyler County.  She was born September 23, 1934 to Charlie and Beatrice Chambless.  She was baptized at an early age and was a member of Camp Ground Baptist Church.  As young girls, Wanda and her sisters, Dorothy, Maxelene and Charlie Dee sang together as a gospel quartet.  For years they attended singings and competitions all over Southeast Texas.  Wanda attended Warren High School and graduated as Salutatorian of her class in 1953.  Another proud accomplishment was that she was a part of the 1951 Warren Warrior Basketball team that participated in the first ever Girls State Basketball Tournament.  Maxelene, Charlie Dee and Wanda – the Chambless girls- were a huge part of the team.

Wanda married Buddy Ogden on September 20, 1958 in Woodville, Texas.  They enjoyed almost 60 years of marriage.  They had two children, Suzanne and Tommy, five grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.

Wanda was predeceased by her husband, Buddy; her parents, Charlie Chambless and Beatrice Lee; sisters, Charlie Dee Rudd and Sandra Snowden; brother, Narlon Chambless; great granddaughter, Bristol Saige Cole and numerous sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nieces and nephews.

She is survived by her daughter, Suzanne Rigby and husband, Clay; son, Tommy Ogden and wife, Lisa; grandchildren, Zack and Amy Rigby, Shay and Anthony Reynolds, Samantha and Troy Lakey, Paige and Kaleb Bourgeois and Jordan Ogden; great grandchildren, Layne, Selah, Adalynn, Cole, Nora and Slayde; sisters, Dorothy Powell and husband, Sherman and Maxelene Coker; brothers-in-law sisters-in-law, John Ogden and wife, Gloria, Billy Ray Fondren, Margaret Chambless and Charlotte Ogden; special niece, Pam Parker and numerous other nieces, nephews and a host of friends.
