Vivien Davis Obituary

Vivian Earl Davis, 86, of Woodville passed away September 9, 2022. She was born February 1, 1936 to her parents, Earl Albert Kirkland and Mary Alice Gussman Kirkland.

Vivian Earl Davis was an outstanding woman, married to James Lewis Davis for 60 years. Having two children of Dayle Davis and David Davis, she worked for Temple at their sawmill as a safety advisor for 23 years; she went by the nick name of Sam with her close friends and co-workers. Always looking to assist with Woodville festivities she threw herself into helping Dogwood Festival as a parade organizer or rodeo judge. She also worked on many types of hobbies when retired, stain glass art, wood burning art, and painting upon various tools such as circular saws and glass panes...skills she had passed onto her daughter Dayle. Always altruistic she would do what she could for someone, be they a longtime friend or a newly acquainted one. She will be missed, and she would prefer that we all remember her as she was. A woman full of spunk, sass, and a spitfire who loved to let you know what she was thinking!

She is survived by her loving grandchildren, Kirkland Gardner and wife Dayna of Woodville, Victoria English and husband Blake of Arp; great-grandchildren, Abel and Isaac English; and other family members and friends.

A private service will be held at a later date.
