Vernon Scott Lemons, Jr.

Vernon Scott Lemons, Jr., 69, of Pasadena passed away March 31, 2021.

He was born June 22, 1951 in Orange, Texas to Vernon, Sr and Evelyn Lemons.  Vernon served in the U.S. Army for eight years and joined the Harris County Sheriff’s Department when he was discharged in 1980.  Later he was employed by the Security Department of Shell Oil Company until his health failed and he retired in 2016. 

Vernon was preceded in death by his parents, Vernon, Sr. and Evelyn Grisham Lemons and a brother, Julian Arthur Lemons.

He is survived by his sister, Jo Ann Gamblin of Pasadena; nephews, David Williams and wife, Patricia of Pasadena and Lee Williams and wife, Mia of Deer Park; niece, Chalayne Cole and husband, John of Shore Acres; great nieces, Nancy Bowman and husband, Sean of Houston and Mikayla Williams of Pasadena; great nephew, Taylor Williams of Deer Park and a great great niece, Daisy Williams of Deer Park.

A graveside service will be held Wednesday, April 7, 2021, at 2 pm at the Colmesneil City Cemetery in Colmesneil, Texas.
