Born in Houston, Texas, to Leslie Goss and Wanda Arleen Chambers, she graduated from Colmesneil High School in 1986. She attended Angelina Jr. College before enlisting in the U. S. Army in 1987. In March 1988, she completed basic training at Fort Jackson, S. C. She was then assigned to the Berlin BDE HHC in Berlin, Germany, where she served from June 1988 until 1990. She was then assigned to numerous other bases where she proudly served.
While stationed in Berlin, she married the love of her life, Stanley Cleberg, on November 24, 1989. With his support and love, she obtained her Associate Degree in Criminal Justice from Troy State College in Troy, AL, her Bachelor of Arts in Criminal Justice from Columbia College, and her Master of Science in Professional Counseling in 2016. In 2017, she obtained her Licensed Chemical Dependence Counselor license, and in 2018, her Licensed Professional Counselor license, which she used to help many people. She worked at the Tyler County Veterans Service Office from 2018 until 2025, where her passion for helping her fellow service members was felt by all she served. She was a life member of the VFW Post 2033 and a member of the First Baptist Church in Colmesneil, Texas. Although she had many accomplishments, her greatest was her family. A loving and supportive wife and mother, she held her grandchildren in a special place in her heart.
