Theodore Edward "Ted" Busch, Jr.

Theodore Edward “Ted” Busch, Jr., 74, of Woodville passed away December 8, 2021.  Ted was born in Houston, Texas on April 18, 1947 to Theodore E. Busch, Sr. and Hazel Lila Snowden Busch. 

Ted was a Houston Police Officer for 20 years, retired as a Lieutenant for Texas Criminal Justice for 20 years.  He worked part time at the Woodville Wal-Mart from 2009 until 2014 in the Garden Center.  Ted loved hunting, fishing and his jet boat. 

He was preceded in death by his parents, Theodore E. Busch, SR. and Hazel Lila Snowden Busch; grandparents, Porter Jones Snowden, Viola Snowden and Julia Busch.

Ted is survived by his loving wife of 56 years, Cheryl Busch; children, Theodore Busch, III and Tammy Elizabeth Tarver and husband, Ricky; grandchildren, Jessica Quijano and Michael Quijano; great grandchildren, Bruce Jones and Mikayla Qui jano; sister, Barbara Schoppa; and other family members and friends.

Funeral service will be held Sunday, December 12, 2021, at 2 pm at the Riley Funeral Home Chapel .  Burial will follow at the Magnolia Cemetery in Woodville, Texas.  Visitation will be held Sunday from 1 pm until the time of the service.

Serving as pallbearers will be Ricky Derkowski, Ricky Tarver, Blake Shoppa, Jessica Quijano, Michael Quijano and Kevin Cummins.

The family wishes to extend their deepest appreciation to the staff of Affinity Hospice, Benita and Beverly for the loving care they provided to Ted.
