Thelma Bernice (Sheffield) Pickett

Thelma Bernice Pickett, 79, of Warren passed away March 1, 2022 peacefully at her home surrounded by her family. She was born May 6, 1942 in Honey Island, Texas to Brown Sheffield and Martha Agnes Pierce Sheffield.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband Edward Pickett; sons, Danny and Kenny Ferguson; daughter, Cissy Ann Ferguson; brother, Herschel Sheffield; sisters, Helen Bowen and Delores Sheffield; son-in-law, Adam Thomason; grandsons, Kenneth Ferguson II and Barry Dean Ferguson II.

She is survived by her children, Barry Dean Ferguson and wife Sandra Renee of Ivanhoe, Becky Darlene Gautreaux and husband James of Warren, and Darla Elizabeth Thomason of Ivanhoe; 17 grandchildren; 52 great grandchildren; 4 great great grandchildren; sister, Evelyn Conner and husband Allen; and many other family members and friends.

Pallbearers will be Casey Kelly, Joshua Ferguson, Adam Sheffield, Patrick Jacks, Matthew Clark and Jeremiah Stutzenburg.

Funeral service will be held Friday, March 4, 2022, 12pm at the Riley Funeral Home Chapel with Brother David Mahfouz officiating.  Burial will be held at the Village Mills Cemetery in Village Mills.  Visitation will be held Friday, March 4, 2022, from 10am until the time of service.

Services were held under the direction of Riley Funeral Home in Woodville, Texas.
