Sylvia Ann Jordan, 77, of Warren gained her angel wings rejoicing as she walked through those heavenly gates on February 14, 2020.
Born in Port Arthur, Texas to the late Oneil and Alice Braquet, she lived in Warren for many years. Sylvia was a God fearing woman who loved the Lord first and her family second. She instilled a Christian faith in her family and taught them the love of Jesus. She was a member of the Bethel Baptist Church in Warren and served in her church in various ways. One of her missions was to send cards out to members of her church and her community for birthdays, anniversaries and special occasions. Everyone will surely miss getting those cards this year.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Douglas Jordan and a daughter, Cathy Jordan.
Sylvia is survived by her loving family, daughter, Melissa Eddings and husband, Roy of Warren; sons, Douglas Jordan, II and wife, Bonnie of Lumberton and Timothy Jordan and wife, Julie of Russellville, Ark.; grandsons, Truitt Jordan and wife, Devyn of West Lake, La and William Eddings, II and wife, Destiny of Warren; granddaughters, Amy Jordan and husband, Brandon of Silsbee and Korlei Eddings of Warren; great grandson, Waylon Eddings of Warren; sister, Gloria Richardson and husband, Sonny of Bandaras, Texas; brother, Edward Braquet and wife, Donna of Grand Prairie, Texas; and numerous other family members and friends.
Funeral service will be held Wednesday, February 19, 2020, at 2 pm at the Bethel Baptist Church in Warren with Brother Larry Stagg officiating. Burial will follow at the Allison Cemetery in Warren. Visitation will be held Tuesday, February 18, 2020, from 5 pm until 8 pm at the Bethel Baptist Church in Warren.
Serving as pallbearers will be Douglas Jordan, Timothy Jordan, Roy Eddings, William Eddings, II, Truitt Jordan and Mark McCord. Serving as honorary pallbearers will be Edward Braquet, Wesley McCollum and Sonny Richardson.
