Sula Perricone Obituary

Sula Gaynell Hancock Perricone, 85, of Colmesneil passed away July 2, 2021.

Born February 11, 1936 in Colmesneil, Texas to Clifton Hancock and Lucy Cowart Hancock, she lived in Colmesneil most of her life.  She was retired from Lamar University as a payroll supervisor.  Gaynell was a poet who had many poems published and served as her family’s historian.   The love for her family was not only shown but felt by the strong faith and love she had in her Lord and Savior by the many prayers she prayed for each and every one of them. 

Gaynell was preceded in death by her parents, Clifton and Lucy Hancock; husband, Charles A. Perricone; sons, Charles Anthony Perricone and David Vincent Perricone and her siblings.

She is survived by her son, Tillman Hoffpauir and wife, Darlene of Colmesneil; daughter, Martha Perricone of Colmesneil; brother, Robert Beck of New Orleans, LA; grandchildren, Levi Hoffpauir and wife, Ericka of Lumberton, Anna Sites of Beaumont, Shandalyn Horton of Beaumont, Beau Perricone of Austin, Jon-Erik Chargois of Colmesneil; thirteen great grandchildren and numerous other family members and friends.

Funeral service will be held Sunday at 2 pm at the Ebenezer Baptist Church with burial to follow at the Ebenezer Cemetery in Colmesneil.

Serving as pallbearers will be her grandsons.
