Shirley Marie Cotton

Shirley Marie Cotton, 88, of Woodville was called home on June 19, 2023.

Born in Lock Port, Louisiana to Earl and Odella Richoux, she lived in Woodville for many years.  Shirley loved her family with all her heart and the many friends who she loved as her own.  She enjoyed playing cards with her family and always had a dog by her side.  She was a loving and loyal member of Our Lady of the Pines Catholic Church. 

Shirley was preceded in death by her parents, Earl Richoux and Odella Verdos Richoux; husband, Robert Douglas Cotton; sons, Robert Earl Cotton and Charles Cotton; daughter, Rebecca Mullican; and a brother, Irving Richoux.

She is survived by her loving family, children, Jennifer Christie, Cathy Courtney, Jeffery Cotton and Pok Cotton; sisters, Thelma Kiger and Carol Richoux; brother, Rickie Richoux; eleven grandchildren, numerous great grandchildren and a host of other family members and friends.

A Funeral Mass will be held Monday, June 26, 2023, at 10 am at Our Lady of the Pines Catholic Church in Woodville with burial to follow at the Magnolia Cemetery in Woodville.  Visitation will be held Sunday, June 25, 2023, from 6 pm until 8 pm with a Rosary held at 5 pm at Riley Funeral Home in Woodville, Texas.

Honoring their grandmother’s memory, Shirley’s grandsons and great grandsons will serve as her pallbearers.
