Sharon Kay Odom, 64, of Woodville passed away peacefully surrounded by family and friends on September 15, 2023.
Born in Livingston, Texas to James and Mary Wade, she grew up in Woodville and retired as a tax processor for Jackson Hewitt. As a child growing up, she loved to go to the skating rink, the movies and was part of the Woodville Girls Scouts. Her best friends were Lori Sanders and Mary Waldrep. She enjoyed going to the beach, the zoo, watching her beloved Astros, cooking and taking care of others especially her family. She loved the Lord and served him by volunteering in her church.
Sharon was preceded in death by her parents, James Cecil Wade and Mary Grey Massie Wade and siblings, Cleo Bane, Ann James and Nancy Wade.
She is survived by her loving children, Jessica Lynn Sprunger, Jerry Wayne Gay Jr., Roy Glenn Gay and Mary Ann Odom; grandchildren, Mary Lynn Sprunger, Ayden Trinidad Zamora, Glenn Wallace Zamora, Austin James Rucks, Alexis Diane Gay, Andrew Lee Gay, Morgan Lynn Gay, Maylee Brianne Gay, Braxton Todd Gay, Sky Cheyanne Roulston, Zoe Rose Montgomery and Ana Marie Gongora; great grandchildren, Nolan Ryan Sprunger, Paisely Miller, Jacob Gogan Jr, Kaylynn Gogan, Brylynn Gail Ruth Rucks, Ashton Wayne Michael Rucks, Davíd Jesus Solano, Jupiter Avery Dean and Apollo Jaxx White; siblings, Paul Wade, Jimmy Wade and Linda Hickman and a host of other family members and friends.
Funeral service will be held Tuesday, September 19, 2023, at 11 am at the Riley Funeral Home Chapel with burial to follow at the Mt. Pisgah Cemetery in Woodville. Visitation will be held Monday, September 18, 2023, from 6 pm until 8 pm at the funeral home.
