Sharon Sue Poncho Morris

Sharon Sue Poncho Morris was born March 24st, 1951 at the Alabama-Coushatta Indian Reservation, Polk County, Texas. She Passed away on April 1, 2022 in Kingwood, Texas.

Sharon is preceded in death by her Parents, Raymond & Nettie Battise Poncho; Husband, Louie Morris; Sister, Nellie Poncho Sylestine

She is survived by her Children, Makesha Morris Williams and husband Dewayne of The Reservation, Marius Van Morris and companion Elisha Amos of Mississippi; Grandchildren, Chancellor Morris and wife Heather of The Reservation, Chanon Wilson of Mississippi, Karrigan Young, Kaden Young, Trevor Williams of The Reservation, Orita Jenkins of North Carolina, Taylor , Brendan, Lanien; Great-GrandChildren, Michael, Melody, Amari and Ava; Siblings, Anna Lou Obe  and husband Donald, Roland Poncho and wife Delores, Rodney Poncho, Jennifer Poncho, Melinda Sylestine and husband Dedera Don; Her Mississippi Family; And numerous nieces, nephews and other family members.

Pallbearers will be, Jackie Morris, Delvin Johnson, Zechariah Johnson, Darrell Spear, Gregory Battise and Isaiah Thompson.

Honorary Pallbearers will be, Michael Alec, Rick Sylestine, Bracey Bell, and her nephews, Darren Obe, Grayson Williams, Jonas Poncho, Jamus Poncho, Kirk Sylestine, Julian Sylestine and Danon Sylestine.

Funeral service will be held Monday, April 4, 2022, at 11:00 am at the Indian Presbyterian Church with Sister Debbie Kleinman officiating. The Wake Service will be from 6pm until 8pm at the family’s home, 234 Colabe Road, Livingston, Texas, 77351.  A graveside service will follow at the Reservation Cemetery.
