Ronald "Ron" Keef Obituary

Ronald “Ron” Gene Keef, 86, of Woodville passed away peacefully on February 7, 2021.

Born May 10, 1934 in Birmingham, Alabama, he lived in Houston before moving to Woodville in 1983.   Ron was a United Air Force Veteran and proudly supported the veterans by volunteering where he was needed.   Ron and his wife, Rosie, owned and operated East Tex Paint and Body in Woodville for many years.  A member of the Woodville Lions Club, Ron was a big supporter of the Texas Lion’s Camp among the other many charitable events the Lion’s Club supported.  He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Warren.  Ron had a love for motorcycles and traveled the United States with family and friends leaving his mark with the many people he met along his routes.

Ron was preceded in death by his parents, Norman and Estelle Keef and his wife, Rosie Keef.

He is survived by his children, Randall Keef and wife, Patsy, Richard Keef and wife, Sherry, Larry Owens and wife, Cory, James “Peanut” Owens and wife, Cheryl; sixteen grandchildren, eighteen great grandchildren and one great great grandchild; companion, Gwynne Wiegand and a host of other family members and friends.

A Military graveside service will be held Saturday, February 13, 2021, at 2 pm at the Magnolia Cemetery in Woodville with Brother Keith Bellamy officiating.  Visitation will begin February 13, 2021, at 1:30 pm until the time of the service at the cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the Texas Lion’s Camp, 4100 San Antonio HWY, Kerrville, Texas 78028, and the Woodville Church of Christ, 1805 West Bluff, Woodville, Texas 75979 or a charity of your choice.

The family would like to express their sincere appreciation to Olive Branch Hospice team for their dedication, compassionate care and support of Ron and his family at his end of life journey.
