Ronald Cowart Obituary

Ronald Allen Cowart was born July 3, 1958 to Connie Ray Cowart and Marie McDonald Cowart.

He is survived by his wife of 32 years, Marla Cowart of Woodville; daughter, Heather James and husband, Roy of Woodville; daughter, Nicole Daberkow and husband, Robert of Woodville; son, Jeremy Smith and wife, Amy of Livingston; son, Joseph Smith of Livingston; sister, Sally Hall and husband, Omer of Warren; sister, Brittie Parton and husband, Curtis of Spurger; twenty-one grandchildren, five great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, other family members and friends.

Ronald was a simple man who never met a stranger.  Wherever he went he never met a stranger he would not talk to.  He was a person who would make you feel like he has known you forever when you would talk to him.  Ronald was employed at Georgia Pacific for over 38 years, where he was a lathe operator.  Most of the people he worked with knew him as Cowboy.  He met and made some of the best friendships over the years working at Georgia Pacific.  Later in life he went to school to be certified in welding.  Welding was something he loved and had real passion for.  After retirement, he spent many days making crosses, cup holders, any kind of iron art that he would weld.  He loved making different little iron art for his family.  Ronald accepted Jesus in his heart as a young child, later in life he rededicated his life to Christ and was baptized in a little church in Corrigan, Texas that he and his wife fell in love with.  Ronald loved the Lord, his wife, his children, grandchildren and anyone he knew with his whole heart.

Ronald was preceded in death by his parents, Connie Ray and Marie Cowart; daughter, Crystal Gayle Cowart; infant grandson, Zackary Allen Cowart; brothers, Walter Ray Cowart and Richard Cowart.
