Robert L. (Bob) Thornton

Robert L. (Bob) Thornton of Colmesneil, Texas passed away on March 10, 2023.  Bob spent his early life in Mississippi, where he was born to Alexander Hamilton and Hettie Myrtle Husband Thornton. Bob served in the Army for several years and afterwards spent most of his work life driving trucks and operating heavy machinery.

 He is preceded in death by his wife, Jo Ann Gilmer Thornton, his grandson, Richard Toby Rico and his three brothers, Lloyd, O. C., and Farrell Thornton.  

His sister, Carolyn Driver, his children, Mark Thornton, Johnnie Thornton, and Donna Thornton McGrew will miss him greatly.  His grandchildren and great-grandchildren who will miss his wisdom and laughter are Joanna Rico and Josh Carnley with their son Johnzie; Kyle Lalumandier his wife Christi and their son Landon; and Robert Loke McGrew. Bob's numerous nieces, nephews and cousins will also miss him.
