Robert Abe (Bob) Brandin, 80, of Woodville, TX went to be with his wife, Myrtle F. Brandin on March 30, 2022. He was born on January 4, 1942 in Woodville, Texas to George Herman Brandin and Betty Ann Beason. Robert served in Vietnam and was a member of the VFW Post #2033 for many years. He was an endowed member of the Magnolia Masonic Lodge #495 where he served in various positions. He was a lifetime carpenter and could build or fix anything.
Robert is preceded in death by his parents George Herman Brandin and Betty Brandin, his wife of 51 years Myrtle Frances Walker Brandin, brothers; Luther Earl “Buddy” Brandin and Perry Ray Brandin.
Left to carry on his memory is his daughter Lisa and husband Dana McKinnon, son James Brandin and fiancée Dawn Weeks, and daughter Sharon and husband Dustin Brooks; grandchildren Lesleigh Thomas, Haley Bridges, Nikki Reyna, Lane Brandin, Amber Shrum, and Kaitlyn Shrum; 9 great grandchildren; sisters Elaine Grimm and Ilene Brandin, many nieces, nephews and friends.
A visitation will be held from 6-8 pm on Saturday, April 2, 2022 at the Riley Funeral Home Chapel. Services are scheduled for 2 PM Sunday, April 3, 2022 at Riley Funeral Home followed by burial at Zavalla City Cemetery. Brother Stephen McBride will preside. Serving as pallbearers will be Carl Ware, Jeff Johnston, Billy Cards, Robert Jackson, Obie Fortenberry and JD Taylor.
