Beloved husband and Step-father, Randy L. Rapp, “Rapp”, 73, passed away at his home in Wildwood on September 12, 2023.
Rapp is survived by his wife, Jammie Rapp, of the home. His siblings, Jack Rapp, Sue DeMasters, James Williams and Kathy Williams. His step-Children, Shannon Caver, Mecca and Matt Belty and Candance Novak. Cousins, Harlace, Orville and Roger Wallace and Colleen Mattern. Grandchildren Rachael Caver, Brittany Osborne, Mikaela Osborne, Amber Snider, Chrystal and Clint Cross, Corey and Brittany Baker. Numerous great-grandchildren that he adored.
Rapp is preceded in death by his parents, Jack Rapp and Ella Williams. His siblings Leo Rapp, Donald Rapp, Lynville Williams and grandson Shiloh Richardson.
A memorial honoring the life of Rapp will be held at Wildwood United Methodist Church on Saturday, September 23, 2023. Visitation is from 11:30 – 1 with a full military service immediately following.
Rapp was a member of the US Army in the 101st Airborne Unit from 1966 to 1969 serving much of his time in Vietnam. While serving, he became close to several that he considered his brothers and were lifelong friends. Rapp remained a life member of the VFW (1514) of Village Mills, TX and The Eagles (3719) of Crystal Beach, TX.
Rapp never met a dog he didn’t love and adopted several throughout his many years. His latest love, Max, was a rescue from Beaumont SPCA. In lieu of flowers, please donate to a reputable veteran organization or your local SPCA/Animal Shelter.
