Ramona Lamb

Ramona Lamb, 64, of Willis, Texas, passed away Thursday, April 18, 2024, in Conroe, Texas.   

Ramona was born in Houston, Texas, to James and Lavella Mitchell on August 14, 1959.  She was very active in her younger years and enjoyed fishing, hunting, riding horses and many other outdoor activities.  In her later years she enjoyed crocheting, crossword puzzles and watching cooking shows. 

She is preceded in death by her parents, James and Lavetta Mitchell; and by her lifelong partner, Jay Tackett. 

She is survived by her daughter, Sheree Foster and her husband, William of Willis, Texas; son, John Tackett and wife, Michelle of South Dakota; granddaughters, Brittany Weeks and Justin Adams of Willis, Texas, Melissa Tackett of South Dakota and Leslie Ortega of Willis, Texas; grandsons, Joshua Weeks and fiancée, Breanna Spinks, Hunter Foster, Israel Lopez and Walther Lara all of Willis, Texas; sisters, Lydia Larue and significant other, Ronald Raley, of Willis, Texas and Ronda Grace and her husband, Edward of Houston; brother, James Mitchell of Willis, Texas; great-grandchildren, Payton Martin, Karlee Adams and Remington Adams; also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. 

Graveside services will be held at 2 p.m., Saturday, April 27, 2024, at Campground Cemetery in Woodville, Texas.  Officiating will be Reverend Virginia Harrison.

Serving as pallbearers will be Joshua Weeks, Brittany Weeks, Sheree Foster, William Foster, Justin Adams and Breanna Spinks. Serving as honorary pallbearers will be Payton Martin and Karlee Adams.
