Peggy Tiner Obituary

Peggy Lou Tiner, 83, of Warren passed away Saturday, June 27, 2020.

She was born June 18, 1937 in Hicksbough, Texas to the late JH and Evelyn Collier. Peggy graduated from Warren High School in 1955 and then attended Lamar University. After Lamar she went to work for Warren ISD, where she stayed for 25 as a secretary at the elementary school.  She loved hunting glass bottles, traveling and going on nature trails.  She loved her dogs, Rascal and Little Man.  She enjoyed spending time with her grandkids and great grandkids.

Peggy is survived by her son, Stuart Tiner and wife Tammy of Buffalo Gap; grandchildren, Shilow Tiner and wife Amanda of Lumberton, Shaun Tiner of Kountze, Sadie Rosenquist and husband Justin of Tuscola, Sealie Tiner of Buffalo Gap; great grandchildren, Shila Tiner, Thatcher and Sayer Rosenquist; sister, Joyce Holmes and husband Paul of Warren; brother, Larry Collier and wife Barbara of Stafford, and numerous other family members and friends.

She is preceded in death by her parents; son, Stanley Tiner, and brothers, Billy and Judd “Sonny” Collier.

Serving as pallbearers will be Justin Rosenquist, Shilow S. Tiner, Shaun Tiner, Michael Collier, Colt Kelley, Clay Kelley, Randy Holmes, and Curtis Holmes.

Roman Starkey will serve as an honorary pallbearer.

Funeral Services will be held at Riley Funeral Home on Wednesday, July 1, 2020 at 10AM. Burial will follow at Beech Creek Cemetery in Spurger. Visitation will be held Tuesday evening from 6-8PM. 

Services are held under the direction of Riley Funeral Home.
