Pauline Sturgis Thomas

Pauline Sturgis Thomas, 91, of Huntington formerly of Woodville passed away September 6, 2021.

Born December 8, 1929 in Wilmar, Arkansas, she lived in Bridge City before moving to Woodville in 1995.  She was a member of the Irving Street Missionary Baptist Church in West Orange serving as the church secretary and a Sunday School teacher.  After moving to Woodville she joined the Woodville Missionary Baptist Church serving where there was a need.  Pauline enjoyed sewing and gardening especially planting flowers for all the world to enjoy and loved her many cats.  Her grandchildren and great grandchildren were he pride and joy and they knew that they were loved by her.

Pauline was preceded in death by her parents, Paul Sturgis, Sr. and Alma Sturgis; husband, Marvin Thomas and a brother, Paul Sturgis, Jr.

She leaves behind to cherish her memory son and daughter-in-law, David and Charlot Thomas of Chester; granddaughter, Tara Fudge and husband, Chris of Mt. Belvieu; grandson, Dakota Thomas of Chester; great grandchildren, Justin and Nathan Fudge of Mt. Belvieu; sister-in-law, Doylene Watts of Arkansas; nephew, Steven Sturgis and wife, Penny of Arkansas and a special cousin, Robert Harold Martin of Arkansas.

Funeral service will be held Thursday, September 9, 2021, at 11 am at the Riley Funeral Home Chapel with Brother Robert Armstrong officiating.  Burial will follow at the Mt. Hope Cemetery in Chester, Texas.  Visitation will be held Thursday from 10 am until the time of the service.

Serving as pallbearers will be Dakota Thomas, Danny Carnline, Cole Carnline, Chris Fudge, Justin Fudge and Dave DeLeon
