Paul Gilmore McLaurin, 65, of Woodville passed away January 20, 2021.
Born November 20, 1955 in Vredenburgh, Alabama to the late Byron and Clara Bell McLaurin, he lived in Excel, Alabama most of his life before moving to Woodville, Texas to be closer to his daughter. Paul loved to hunt and fish. He was a proud die hard Alabama “Roll Tide” fan who let everyone know especially when he wore his Alabama cap. His proudest accomplishment was being a Paw Paw to all his grandkids who he loved dearly.
Paul was preceded in death by his parents, Byron and Clara Bell McLaurin; wife, Lois Lane McLaurin; daughter, Maria Kelly; granddaughter, Kassie Layne Gammer; sisters, Glory Joyce McLaurin, Ida McLaurin Bender, Shelby Jean McLaurin Atkins, Maxine McLaurin Gilmore and Linda Sue McLaurin Fountain and two brothers, Byron Lavoy McLaurin and Winston Franklin McLaurin.
He is survived by his loving family, daughters and sons-in-law, Elizabeth and Richard (Trey) Grammer, III of Woodville and Lynda and Donnie Brunk of Zavalla; grandchildren, Kelsey Grammer, Donnie Brunk,II, Kendallyn Grammer, Nikolas Brunk and Kamryn Grammer; great grandchildren, Everleigh Carbajal and Braleigh Elizabeth Bray.
His remains will be brought to his beloved Alabama for his final resting place.
The flower arrangements that were made at his daughter’s flower shop, Dee’s Flower Shop, always made his day.
