Obituary
Nell Jordan, age 94, of Coleman, died Tuesday, September 20, 2022, at her residence with her family by her side.
She was born Nell Minturn on March 4, 1928, in Savannah, Georgia to William Minturn and Mary Helen Frieze Minturn. Soon after her birth, the family relocated to El Paso, Texas and then to Houston, Texas. Nell grew up in Houston where she graduated high school. Nell worked for the medical billing department for Transco Gas and Pipeline in Houston for over 25 years. She attended St. Mark’s Episcopal Church in Houston and then attended St. Mark’s Episcopal Church in Coleman.
Nell is preceded in death by her parents; one brother, William Minturn; one sister, Martha Dailey, two grandchildren, Gary Bush, and John Bush; one great-granddaughter, Miranda Reed; and one great-great-grandson, Camden Sharrock.
Nell is survived by two daughters, Karen Turner and husband Richard of Coleman and Kathryn Copage and husband Michael of Saranac, New York; four grandchildren, Helen, Melissa, Brian and Bonnie; eight great-grandchildren, Tristan, Elizabeth, Christian, Lacy, Ashlynn, Max, Jordan, and Allison; and two great-great-grandchildren, Hudson and Saleem.
Graveside services will be held Saturday, September 24, 2022, at 2 pm at the Beech Creek Cemetery in Spurger, Texas.
