Michael Roy Toney, 72, of Chester passed away May 17, 2020

Born November 6, 1947 in Woodville, Texas to the late Odis and Emma Toney, he lived in Tyler County most of his life. He was a retired electrician. Michael was an avid musician who enjoyed many instruments including the piano and guitar. He enjoyed contemporary gospel and county music.

Michael was preceded in death by his parents; brother, David Toney and a son, Billy Jack Toney.

He is survived by his loving wife of 45 years, Barbara Whitworth Toney; lovingly adopted daughter, Emily Jernigan; son, Clint Toney; brother, Curtis Toney; sister, Ruth Longstreath and husband, Mike; three nieces; three nephews, numerous other family members and friends.
