Michael Soltys Obituary

Michael William Soltys, 54, of Hillister passed away surrounded by his loved ones on June 5, 2022.

Born October 21, 1967 in Brooklyn, New York to John and Hildegard Soltys, he lived in Hillister for a short time. He was a domestic firefighter, a Navy Veteran and a Combat Firefighter with the Department of Defense. Michael was a strong man who fought hard and loved his family with all his heart.

Michael was preceded in death by his parents, John Soltys and Hildegard Glaser Soltys.

He is survived by his loving wife, Rita Vine; siblings, Susan Soltys, Catherine Nicholson and husband, Robert, John Soltys and wife, Leidy and Rini Butler; nephews, Christopher, Nikolaus and Gabriel Butler and a host of other family members and friends.

Interment will follow at a later date in Florida

Cremation services are held under the directions of Riley Funeral Home in Woodville, Texas.
