Melissa Rena Riehl

Melissa Rena Riehl, 62, of Warren passed away peacefully on July 24, 2024.

She was born January 13, 1962, in Woodville, Texas, to Homer Tyler, Sr., and Ouida Tyler. Melissa, a resident of Warren for many years, was known for her love for her family and her culinary skills.  Her love for animals, especially her dogs, Foxy and Rowdy and her goat, Princess was another aspect of her caring nature.  She enjoyed cooking for her loved ones.  She also enjoyed being outdoors camping, fishing, and taking walks with her grandbabies.

Melissa was preceded in death by her parents, Homer Woodrow Tyler Sr. and Ouida Behannon Tyler and siblings, Wanda Underwood, Homer Tyler, Jr. and Roger Gober.

She is survived by her beloved, Steve Jordan; daughters, Sheena Moore and husband, Dusty, Shaylonn Riehl and Richard Garrett and Amanda Jordan; sons, David Tyler and wife, Sarah and Steven Jordan; granddaughters, Chloe and Cassidy; grandsons, Brayden, Cason, Elijah, Jeremiah, Trace, and Trenton; sisters, Eloise Johnson, Rhonda Davis, Paula Johnston and Dancie Teague and a host of other family members and friends.

The funeral service will be held on Saturday, July 27, 2024, at 2 pm at the Bethel Baptist Church in Warren.  Burial will follow at the Justice Cemetery in Warren, Texas.  Visitation will be held Saturday from 1 pm until 2 pm at the church.
