Mary Elizabeth Nash, age 75, passed away January 3rd at 10:03 PM in her home in the care of her loving husband William “Don” Nash. She died from a chronic lung illness.
Mary was born in Lake Charles, Louisiana, on October 4th, 1949. Her parents were Woodrow W. Fox and Mamie Ruth Fox (Hammons). She graduated from Lacassine High School, where she was her high school valedictorian and home coming queen. She and Don were high school sweethearts and they married on November 27, 1969 in Iowa, Louisiana. They had recently celebrated their 55th Anniversary.
Mary was a full time homemaker and lived with family in Odessa, Texas from 1974 to 1984. She then moved with her family to The Woodlands, Texas and lived there until her death. She was a kind and loving woman who was cherished by all who knew her.
Mary is survived by her husband, Don Nash; her brother William “Billy” Fox; her two children Jeffrey and Kris Nash; and her grandson, Nolan Nash.
Graveside service will be held Wednesday, January 8, 2025, at 1 pm at the Mt. Pisgah Cemetery in Woodville, Texas. Visitation will be held Wednesday from 10 am until 12 pm at the funeral home.
