Mary Agnes Goodwine, age 84, passed away on December 21, 2022 at Pinecrest Retirement Community in Lufkin, Texas.
Mary was born on September 6, 1938 in Detroit, MI to Norman and Mary Shriner. She was a Special Education teacher in West Palm Beach, FL for 30 years and retired to Woodville, Tx in 2004. She had a Master’s degree in Special Education.
Mary enjoyed walking on the beach and collecting sea shells, gardening and teaching. She was an eternal optimist and saw potential in everyone in every situation. The love of her life was her little dog, Page.
Mary was the mother of three daughters, Nancy (Mike) Wozniak of Fisher, IN, Laurie (Max) Montgomery of Doucette, Tx and Alicia Hayden of Colmesneil, Tx. She has eight grandchildren, Austin (Jana) Wozniak, Phillip (Kayla) Wozniak, Allison Wozniak, Diana Montgomery, Angela Montgomery, Vanessa Miranda, Christina Sisco and Lara Hayden. She was preceded in death by her parents.
Funeral service will be held Thursday, December 29, 2022 at 11 am at the Riley Funeral Home Chapel in Woodville, Tx. Burial will follow at the Colmesneil City Cemetery in Colmesneil, Tx.
