Mary Ann Sheffield, 82, of Lumberton passed away May 13, 2020.
Born October 27, 1937 in Benavides, Texas to the late Charlie and Lessie Kibby, she lived most of her life in Spurger where she finished school. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and friend to all who knew and loved her. She was a member of the Red Hat Society and loved to quilt and had many quilts entered in the Tyler County Fair. She and her husband, James, were members of the Cast Iron Cookers and enjoyed traveling.
Mary was preceded in death by her parents, Charlie and Lessie Kibby; husband of 47 years, James E. Sheffield and a sister, Betty Jo Hughes.
She is survived by her loving family, daughter, Cindy Ann Weaver and husband, Kenneth of Spurger; son, Marcus Sheffield and wife, Diane of Vidor; grandchildren, Erica Ann Crawford and husband, Travis, Kimberly Ann Welch, Taylor Snook, Kady Snook, Kayla Weaver, Kenny Weaver and Kissy Pickney; many great grandchildren and great, great grandchildren and a host of other family members and friends.
Funeral service will be held Saturday, May 16, 2020, at 11 am at the Riley Funeral Home Chapel with Brother Chris Tatom officiating. Burial will follow at the Beech Creek Cemetery in Spurger. Visitation will be held Saturday from 10 am until the time of the service at the funeral home.
