Marion Frankie Self

Marion “Frankie” Self was born on December 7, 1957 in Jasper, Texas to Carrol Edward Self and Julia Geraldine (Phillips) Self. He worked as a logger and in the oil field but was more known for his mechanic skills. He spent the greater part of his life simply helping others. He loved his family and friends deeply but sure didn’t mind helping a stranger either. He was a strong hard working man that enjoyed the simple things in life like fishing, gambling and spending time with the ones he loved. Frankie accepted Christ into his heart and is now rejoicing in the kingdom of Heaven. He was called home on December 29, 2022 at the age of 65 in Nacogdoches, Tx. He was preceded in death by his father “Ed” and mother “Julie”Self.  Brothers James Self and Carl Self and sister Linda McFarland. He leaves behind to cherish his memory: sisters Beatrice Moore of Livingston, Tx and Barbara Golden of Groveton, Tx. Sons Frankie Self (wife Billie Marie) of Huntington, Tx. Jesse Self (wife Jody) of Newark,  Arkansas. Thomas Self (Wife Kerry) of Burkeville, Tx. Daughter Theresa Anderson (husband Tracy) of Laneville, Tx. 12 Grandchildren- Tommy, Joseph, Mariah, Karah, Corbyn, Karaden, Mattie, Tucker, Thomas, Nathan, Nicole and Kyle. 7 Great Grandchildren. His life partner Leila Sowell of Nacogdoches, Tx.  And her 6 children and numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren. He also leaves behind countless loving nieces and nephews. He will most assuredly be missed by all who knew him.
