Margaret Elizabeth Bennett Haralson was born to Leon Burton Bennett and Laura Murk Bennett on 01-21-1929 in Hicksbaugh, Texas. She died on 01-13-2026 in Woodville, Texas at the age of 96 years, 11 months and 22 days.
Margaret was preceded in death by her parents, Leon and Laura Bennett, and her brother, L.D. Bennett and Robert Herman Bennett, her sisters Hazel Farrill, Virginia Joyce (Tinci) Sykes, and Madeline Annette (Sis) Comeaux, her husbands, Joe Haralson and Lamar Williams, her sons Jerry Max Haralson and James Herbert Haralson, and her grandson Jerry Wayne Haralson.
She is survived by her son Joe Waymon Haralson of Spurger and his wife Alice Dale Haralson, grandsons Joseph Haralson of Pinehurst, North Carolina and his wife Lindsey, Kenneth Jason Haralson of League City, Texas and his wife Becky, Jack Haralson of Texas City, Texas City and his wife Jennifer, John Haralson of Kingwood, Texas and his wife April, Jamey Haralson of Maine, Jesse Haralson and granddaughter, Shauntel Spitler and husband, Aaron of Woodville, Texas and numerous nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews and great-great nieces and nephews.
She had seven great-grandsons and six great-granddaughters.
Pallbearers will be great-grandsons, Aaron Haralson, Isaac Haralson, Kaiden Helmers, Austin Helmers, Alex Haralson, Eli Haralson, and Ben Haralson.
Margaret married Joe Haralson in 1948. They moved to Spurger and spent the rest of their lives in the Spurger community. Margaret became a Licensed Vocational Nurse and worked in that capacity for many years.
She loved her family and friends dearly and enjoyed quilting.
A graveside service will be held Saturday, January 17, 2026, at 10:30 am at the Justice Cemetery in Warren, Texas.
