Loretta Yvonne "Bonnie" Ellis

Loretta Yvonne “Bonnie” Ellis, 65, of Colmesneil, passed away peacefully on June 26, 2025.

Born in El Paso, Texas, to Raymond and Martha Maylone, she spent many years living in Colmesneil, where she built and nurtured her family.  She was a devoted and loving wife and mother who adored her grandbabies.  When the whole family was together, she was the happiest, especially since she didn't like talking on the phone; she preferred to talk in person so that she could see each face.  Bonnie was strong-willed, and her family knew this by the way she overly supported and pushed each one to be the best they could be.  Everyone who knew Bonnie knew they were loved because she treated each person as if they were her own. 

Bonnie was preceded in death by her father, Raymond Maylone; her mother, Martha Lopez Maylone; and her brother, Roy Maylone.

She is survived by her loving husband, Rocky Ellis; daughters, Cassandra Neyland and husband, Joshua, Kimberly Brooks and husband, Chris, Samantha Rodriguez and husband, Gilbert, Martha Ellis and significant other, Kellen Duplantis; grandbabies, Elisha, Ava, Reese, Lily, CJ, Carley, Austen, Eli, Layla, Raya, Emily and Maylie; sisters, Linda Burkett and Sandra Watson; brother, Raymond Maylone and a host of other family members and friends.

A Celebration of Life service will be held Thursday, July 3, 2025, at 2 pm at the Riley Funeral Home Chapel with Brother Clyde Graham officiating.  A gathering of family and friends will begin at 1 pm at the funeral home until the time of the service.
