John Spanhanks.  She is also preceded in death by her parents, Cullie and Amanda Crisp; brothers:  Kelton, Charles, Harlow, Tony, George, and Clyde; sisters: Gennie Sue, Ivalyne, and GertiLee.

Linda is survived by her three brothers J.T., Hansford, and Wayne Crisp.  Her loving children: Sons -   Zane Spanhanks and wife Teri of Bronson, Texas, Wayne Spanhanks and wife Helen of Longview, Texas.  Daughters - Pamela Lewis and husband Wesley of Kountze, Paula Willmon and husband Ron of Woodville, Texas. She will be greatly missed by her grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.

Mom was born in Nashville, Arkansas. One day her brothers brought home a tall, lanky, man and  she decided that day he would be hers. It wasn’t long before Linda Faye and John ran off and she became Mrs. John Spanhanks.  They were married for 63 years.

Mom did many things. She sold Avon, World Book Encyclopedias, and Tupperware.  She retired from Brookshire Brothers after almost 30 years.   Two of the things that brought mom great joy was her love of plants and quilting.  Being able to give her children and grandchildren a quilt that they would cherish and remember her by was something that gave her great joy. .

Mother was a preacher’s wife for over 50 years.  She was dedicated to helping dad with the ministries of the church.  She loved each of her children and raised us with the knowledge that with God all things were possible.  We will miss you mom, but we know where you are and will see you in time.  Tell Dad we love him.
