Lester Earl “Shine” Johnston, 66, of Woodville passed away December 20, 2021.
He was born May 31, 1955 in Liberty, Texas to Lester Johnston and Alfnell Rawls Johnston. . A retired truck driver, he liked to hunt. A member of the Fairview Baptist Church, he was a Christian man who loved the Lord.
Shine is preceded in death by his parents; wife, Wanda Fae Johnston; sister, Linda Cain.
He is survived by his sons, Jacob Johnston and wife Charlotte of Woodville, Jared Johnston and wife Kimberly Murders-Johnston of Woodville; grandchildren, Ethan Stephens and wife Jenna of Warren, Caleb Stephens and wife Jenna of Paris, Tatum Johnston of Woodville, Jacob “Jake” Johnston of Woodville, Raven Murders of Woodville, Jubilee Johnston of Woodville; great-grandchildren, Colton Stephens, Kaydence Stephens, Kaylee Stephens, Cole Stephens, Connor Stephens, Aislyn Stephens; sister, Gay Nell Jenkins and husband Charles; brother-in-law, Donald Cain; and many other family members.
The Funeral Service will be Held Monday, December 27, 2021 at 2pm at the Ebenezer Church with Bro. Tommy Walker Officiating. Burial will follow at Ebenezer Cemetery. Visitation will be held Monday from 12pm until the time of the service.
Serving as Huckle bearers Raven Murders, Ethan Stephens, Caleb Stephens, Jake Johnston, John Cain and Charlie Jenkins
Services are held under the direction of Riley Funeral Home and Crematorium.
