Larry Keith Winkle, Sr.

Larry Keith Winkle, Sr., 69, of Spurger, passed away peacefully on June 30, 2025, surrounded by his loving family.

Born in Kountze, Texas, to Walter and Mary Winkle, he lived in Spurger for many years.  He was a retired supervisor for the pipeline.   A hard worker, Larry enjoyed his job and passed on to his children the value of a hard day’s work.  He loved fishing, hunting, and especially running dogs.  But his family had his heart.  He loved spending time with his family, especially spoiling the grandbabies. 

Larry was preceded in death by his father, Walter Howard Winkle; his mother, Mary Alice Hooks Clowers; brothers, Wayne Winkle, Melvin Winkle, and Eugene Winkle; and sisters, Elaine Morris and Gayle Moore.

He is survived by his loving wife, Cari LeBlanc Winkle; sons, Keith Winkle and wife, Jaime and Jake Winkle; daughters, Tisha Hinklin and husband, Trent, Nicole Blankenship and husband, Travis; grandchildren, Gage Applegate-Winkle, Kolton Payne, Kiley Winkle, Trinity Hinklin, Lane Winkle, Tex Hinklin, Korbin Blankenship, Katie Blankenship and Kannon Blankenship; niece, Shannon Dunkin among numerous other nieces, nephews, other family members and friends.

A Celebration of Life service will be held Saturday, July 5, 2025, at 6 pm at the Riley Funeral Home Chapel with Brother Derrell Young officiating.  Visitation will be held at 5 pm until the time of the service.
