Larry Lee Brown, 77, of Woodville passed away April 25, 2022 at his home surrounded by loving family.
Born September 1, 1944 in Woodville, Texas to Leroy and Lela Brown, he was a lifelong resident of Woodville. A member of the Hopewell Methodist Church, Larry was a truck driver who was known throughout the logging industry as a hard worker who took care of business. He loved to hunt, fish and run dogs. He loved his grandchildren but was especially proud of his great grandbabies who he adored.
Larry was preceded in death by his parents, Leroy Brown and Lela Gurley Brown; his first wife of 51 years, Gaye Brown; sisters, Patsy Dickens and Mary Tucker.
He is survived by his loving wife, Frances Brown; sons, Brent Brown and wife, Janet of Warren and Rodney Brown and wife, Denise of Woodville; daughter, Angie Garrett and husband, Robert of Lufkin; grandchildren, Erica Leigh Christenson and husband, Kaleb of Iowa; Justin Brown and wife, Lydia of Vidor; Kaleb Brown and wife, Shaunna of Woodville; Emily Loftin and husband, Lance of Chester, Fallon Minichiello and husband, Joe of Florida and Danielle Garrett of Lufkin; great grandchildren, Kiersten, Kyler and Charlie Christensen, Lyla and Samuel Brown, Jaxson, Wyatt and Stetson Brown; Caleb and Brendan Cole Loftin, William Minichiello and Kiley Garrett; and a host of other family members and friends.
A graveside service will be held Tuesday, April 26, 2022, at 3 pm at the Shady Grove Cemetery with Brother Randy Herrington officiating.
Serving as pallbearers will be Brent Brown, Rodney Brown, Justin Brown, Kaleb Brown, Kent Dickens and Lance Loftin.
