Kenneth Ralph Blanchette

Kenneth Ralph Blanchette, 77, of Warren, Texas, passed away at his home on July 30, 2025.

Born on November 25, 1947, Kenneth lived a life marked by dedication to his family, service to his country, and hard work.  A proud U.S. Navy veteran, he served as a medic in Vietnam from 1967 to 1969 aboard the USS Tutuila. For his honorable service, he was awarded the National Defense Service Medal, the Vietnam Service Medal with Bronze Star (5th Campaign), and the Meritorious Unit Commendation.

After his military service, Kenneth built a long career at Premcor Refinery in Port Arthur and later worked in Tyler County before retiring. He was known for his quiet strength, deep loyalty, and the love he poured into his family and community.

Kenneth is survived by his loving wife, Lucy Blanchette of Warren; daughters Tanya Davis and husband Josh of Port Neches, Robyn Herrera and husband Ray of Nederland, Christi Green and spouse, James Shute of Warren, Jennifer Seymour and husband Bobby of Darien Center, New York, and Kim Boudreaux and spouse Jonathan Hotchkiss of Woodville. He also leaves behind his siblings Lynette Waldron and husband Terry of Tulsa, Oklahoma; Judy Smith and husband Tommy of Port Neches; and Charles Blanchette and wife Nelwyn of Chattanooga, Tennessee.  He was a proud grandfather to 12 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren and was deeply loved by his many cousins, nieces, and nephews.

Kenneth was preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Gladys Blanchette; his brother, Rickey Blanchette; and his sister, Susan Dupuy.

Funeral service will be held Friday, August 15, 2025, at 2 pm at the Riley Funeral Home Chapel with Brother James Bledsoe officiating.  Visitation will be held Friday from 12 pm until the time of the service.  A private family burial will be held at a later date.

Kenneth’s legacy of service, family, and faith will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.
