Kathryn Alice Dorsett

Kathryn Alice Dorsett, 80, of Colmesneil passed away September 19, 2020.

Born in 1940 in Toledo, Ohio to Michael and Emma Konopka, she was the youngest of ten children who loved to sew, cross stitch and crochet.  Kathryn became a registered nurse in 1961 and began a career of helping people.  She worked as an RN at Parkview Hospital in Fort Wayne, Indiana, Grossmont Hospital in La Mesa, California, Kaiser Permanente in San Diego, Californian and at Woodville ISD retiring in 2004.  She loved her family and adored her grandchildren.

Kathryn was preceded in death by parents, Michael and Elizabeth Konopka; sister, Dorothy Konopka; brothers, Thomas, William and James Konopka and a grandson, Brendon Dorsett.

She is survived by her loving daughter, Amy Bell and her husband, Stephen; sister, Martha  Evans and husband, Greg and Barbara Konopka of Paulding, Ohio; brothers, Robert Konopka, Ralph Konopka and wife, Sue, Richard Konopka and wife, Joyce; grandsons, Scott Bell and wife, Emily, Matthew Dorsett and wife, Brittany, Raymond Bell and wife, Cheyenne Fischer, Ronald Bell and wife, Tiffany; great grandsons, Ryan Bell, Kacen Phelps, Jaden Bell, Easton Dorsett, and Riley Bell; great granddaughters, Emily Bell, Melanie Bell, Rayburn Bell, Makayla Bell and Skylee Dorsett; and numerous niece, nephews, other family members and friends.

A memorial service will be held Saturday, September 26, 2020, at 11 am at the Riley Funeral Home Chapel with Brother Bubba Sheffield officiating.
