Joshua Province Thompson’s story began March 13, 1977 in Houston, Texas. His mother, Kunya ‘Ning’ Thompson, was from Bangkok, Thailand. She married Luther ‘Bo Jack’ Thompson and became a Naturalized American Citizen. Together they raised two beautiful children, Joshua and Sophia Thompson, on their family farm in Warren, Texas.
He was a lover of all things nature, music, weapon crafting, camping, fishing, and transformers. He was a rocker through and through, who lived his life to the fullest. Anyone who was lucky enough to know him, was guaranteed to have an amazing story to tell! At the age of 24, Josh moved to California and became an AC technician. On November 2, 2002, he married his loving wife, Michelle Klein Thompson. They lived in California for nine years. He had many, but one of his favorite hobbies was working as a stuntman for a group known as the Santa Fe Drifters, a western show. They called him Sancho, needless to say he was the life of the party. At the age of 33, he became a father to a beautiful daughter, Sadie. They decided to move back to his hometown of Warren, TX to raise their daughter and help his parents maintain the farm. Josh‘s heart was bigger than Big. He never saw an animal or a person in need without helping and wouldn’t hesitate to take a risk. He was the most loving father a daughter could ever have, was a wonderful husband, amazing son and Bubba to one, but a Brother to many. He was a collector of many things, but the thing he collected most, was our hearts.
He is survived by his wife of 22 years, Michelle Thompson, daughter Sadie Jolene Thompson of Warren, TX, Sister Lela Sophia Thompson and brother-in-Law, Luis Carreon, Jr. of Houston, TX; father-in-law and Wife, Michael and Dora Klein, New Mexico; mother-in-law and husband, Jennifer and Rick Kimmel of Las Vegas, NV, Uncle Robert Thompson, Aunt Lynn Russell, closest cousins, Diane and Kenneth Coons of Warren, TX and countless other family and friends.
He was pre-deceased by his father, Luther ‘Bo Jack’ F. Thompson, Jr.; his mother, Kunya ‘Ning’ Thompson; grandparents, Luther Thompson, Sr. and Juanita West Thompson; Aunt Patsy Swartz; Uncle Waymon Thompson, and many others. If you knew him, you loved him. The world got darker the day you left us, you will no doubt be missed… by all. We will see you again - at the Big Family Reunion in the Sky.
A memorial service will be held November 2, 2024 at the family farm in Warren, Texas.
