Joseph E. Davis

Joseph E. Davis, 81, of San Antonio, Texas passed away August 12, 2023.

Born in Colmesneil, Texas to Van Preston Davis and Alice A. Fox Davis, he has lived in San Antonio since 1967.  He was a retired contractor.  Joe served in the U. S. Air Force from 1960-1964 stationed in Guam.  He was a devoted father, grandfather, and friend.

Joseph was preceded in death by his parents, Van Preston Davis and Alice A. Fox Davis; son, Stephen Edward Davis; brothers. O. D. Davis and Billy Van Davis.

Joseph is survived by his son and his wife, Richard and Lizette Davis of San Antonio; daughter and her husband, Wendy and David Hudler of San Antonio; daughter-in-law, Kim Davis of La Vernia; grandchildren, Sierra Davis, Monique Moreno, Sadie'Mae Huddler and Dahlton Hudler all of San Antonio, Colton Davis, Chesney Davis and Tayden Davis all of La Vernia; great grandchildren, Christopher, Malechai and Camila; brother, Sam Preston Davis and wife, Pauline of Beaumont; sister, Geneva Neil Tyler of McKinney;  partner, Nancy Ross of San Antonio and a host of other family members and friends.

Funeral service will be held Saturday, August 19, 2023, at 9 am at the Riley Funeral Home with burial to follow at the Davis Cemetery in Colmesneil, Texas.
