Johnnie Faye Morris, age 90, passed away on April 29, 2026, in Woodville, Texas.
Johnnie was born on August 16, 1935, in Hillister, Texas, to Richard "Fate" Crumpler and Vivian Jones. She lived a life rooted in faith, family, and quiet strength. A devoted member of Beech Creek Baptist Church in Spurger, she also found meaningful fellowship through the Order of the Eastern Star.
Johnnie enjoyed traveling, cherished time spent with family, and expressed her creativity through needlepoint. Her gentle spirit, kind heart, and unwavering love for those around her will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Jim Morris, married on August 20, 1955, and her brother, Ollin “Buddy” Crumpler.
Johnnie is survived by her sons, James Alan Morris and wife Rene, and John Alvin Morris; her daughter, Joan Annette Morris; her cherished grandchildren, Jacoby Alan Morris, Jaren Adam Morris, Andrew Scott Craft, Ashley Briann Ard and husband Ty Ard, and Frank Edward Sanders and husband Floyd; her treasured great-grandchildren, Dylan, Jacee, Mason, Roman, Paisley, Savannah, and Eli; and her brother, Richard Lee Crumpler.
Funeral service will be held on Thursday, May 7, 2026, at 2 pm at the Riley Funeral Home Chapel with Mike Minter and Joe Harlson officiating. Burial will follow at the Beech Creek Cemetery in Spurger, Texas. Visitation will be held on Thursday, May 7, 2026, from 1 p.m. to 2 pm at the Riley Funeral Home Chapel.
