John Henry (Tooter) Ross, Sr.

John Henry (Tooter) Ross, Sr., 58 of Colmesneil passed away May 15, 2020.

Born November 5, 1961 in Woodville, Tx to the late James and Lillian Jean Ross, he lived in Tyler Count all of his life.  He was a carpenter by trade.  John loved his family and enjoyed spending time with them especially hunting, fishing and enjoying the great outdoors with each one of his children and grandchildren.

John is survived by his loving family, daughter, Natasha Puente and husband, Michael, sons, John (T.J.) Ross, Jr. and wife, Latasha and Dustin Wayne Ross and wife, Ashley; sisters, Barbara Johnston and Ruby Combs; brothers, James (Buckshot) Ross, Glenn Ross and Billy Ross; grandchildren, Austin Conner, Kristen Spruill, Seth Ross, Sam Ross, Clayton Ross, Cody Ross and Caydee Ross; step children, Shayann Hughes, Lindsey McClendon and Kayla Stephens; best friend, Mike Burns; and numerous other family members and friends.

A graveside service will be held Tuesday, May 19, 2020, at 2 pm at the Gregory Cemetery in Colmesneil, Tx.  Visitation will be held Monday, May 18, 2020 from 5 pm until 7 pm at the funeral home.
