John McDonald Powers, 83, of Warren passed away May 8, 2023.
Born in Village Mills, Tx he lived in Warren all of his life. He retired from Continental Grains as a mill wright after 39 years of service. John liked to whittle, hunt, fish and garden. He was married to the love of his life, Mollie, for 48 years before she preceded him in death.
John was preceded in death by his parents, Carl Chester Powers and Leava Foxworth Powers; wife of 48 years, Mollie Ann Leger Powers; son, Donald Powers; brother, Robert Lavale Powers; sister, Wanda Fay Powers and a brother-in-law, Louise Otto Maidhof.
He is survived by his loving sons, Carl Powers and wife, Stacy, Ronny Powers and wife, Athena and Donny Powers and wife, Courtney; sister-in-law, Valerie Helen Maidhof; grandchildren, Stephanie Powers, Danielle Powers, Hayden Powers, Chloe Baker, Brynn Baker, CJ Powers, and Rosa Powers; numerous nieces, nephews, other family members and friends.
Funeral service will be held Wednesday, May 10, 2023, at 11 am at the Riley Funeral Home Chapel with burial to follow at the Holland Cemetery near Kountze.
