Joe Bob Darsey, Sr.

Joe Bob Darsey, Sr. 78 formerly of Colmesneil passed away March 21st at his home in Whitehouse, Texas. He was born in Groveton to John Wesley Darsey, Sr. and Lora Inez Perkins Darsey on August 18, 1942.

Joe is preceded in death by his loving wife Annette Darsey and his parents.

He is survived by his children, Angela McPhail of Whitehouse, Philip Darsey and wife Carol of Colmesneil, Joe Darsey Jr. and wife Laverne of Chester, Travis Darsey and wife Leah of Kirbyville, and John England and wife Julie of Colmesneil; 12 Grandchildren; 12 Great-Grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives.

Pallbearers will be, Keith Wade, Richard Darsey, Mark Darsey, Andrew Hallo, James Cloyd, Mike Godwin, Kenneth Jordan, John Henderson and Allen Ray Moffet.

A Funeral service will be held Friday, March 26, 2021 at 10 a.m. at Riley Funeral Home with Brother Donald Knox officiating. The graveside service will follow at Colmesneil City Cemetery.  Visitation will be held Thursday from 5 pm until 9 pm at the funeral home.
