Jo Ann Bedore

Jo Ann Bedore, 66, of Fallon, Nevada, formerly of Tyler County, passed away July 21, 2025.

Born in Houston, Texas, to Harold and Betty Lou Read, she lived in Tyler County for many years.  She worked for Holiday Pines Nursing Home and Dogwood Trails Nursing Home as a nurse’s aide.  In May 2017, she married the love of her life, David Bedore, and made a loving home in Fallon, Nevada. 

Jo Ann was preceded in death by her father, Harold Read and mother, Betty Lou Cowart.

She is survived by her loving husband, David Bedore; sons, Dewayne Lewis and wife, Bobbie and Joseph C. Lewis; step-daughters, Marie Pernick and Shelby Damron; grandchildren, Nathan Lewis, Nicole Lewis, Shelby Lewis, Breanna Lewis, Alex Lewis and Caitlyn Nykole Lewis; step grandchildren, Amberlynn Pernick, Jordyn Casey and Alex Damron; step great grandchildren, Elijah and Ronan Casey; sisters, Belinda Biscamp, Charlene McDonald and husband, Butch, Tessy Ross and husband, James “Buckshot”, and Micelle Hawthorne; brothers, James Read and wife, Melissa, Jeff Read and wife, Amanda; sisters-in-law, Bernie Farfan and Michelle Gach and husband, Mike, and numerous other family members and friends.

A visitation will be held on Tuesday, July 29, 2025, from 5 pm until 8 pm at the Riley Funeral Home Chapel.  A burial will be held at a later date at the Churchill County Cemetery in Fallon, Nevada.
