Jessie Lucille Muzny, 96, of Woodville passed away April 2, 2021.
Born May 20, 1924 in Ruby, Louisiana to Marion and Aureline Chelette, she lived in San Antonio before moving to Woodville five years ago. She was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend to all who knew and loved her.
Jessie was preceded in death by her parents, Marion and Aureline Chelette; husband, George J. Muzny; son, Michael Muzny; sisters, Ruby Rougeou, Marie Hickman, Doris Holton and Velma Cassell; brothers, Nelson Chelette, Billy R. Chelette and Stanley Chelette.
She is survived by loving children, John Daniel Muzny and wife, Gay Lynn of Ivanhoe, Patricia Bowman of Grand Junction, CO, Alan George Muzny and wife, Barbara of San Antonio and Thomas James Muzny of San Antonio; brothers, Francis M. Chelette and wife, Pat of Little Rock, ARK and W. Dean Chelette and wife, Jo Ann of Poland, LA; and numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren and great, great grandchildren along with other family members and friends.
Funeral service will be held Friday, April 9, 2021, at 2 pm at the Riley Funeral Home Chapel with Brother Clark Mahoney officiating. Visitation will be held Friday from 12 pm until the time of the service. Cremation will follow and her remains will be buried with her husband at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery in San Antonio, Texas on May 5, 2021 at 11 am. Funeral Mass will be held prior to the burial at St. Benedict's Catholic Church in San Antonio, Texas.
