Jessie Helen (Cavanaugh) Amato

Jessie Helen Amato, 93, of Woodville, passed away on Wednesday, June 11, 2026. She was born on October 19, 1932, in Carbon, Texas, to Jess Cavanaugh and Ruby Lee Couch.

Jessie was a faithful member of First Baptist Church in Hillister, Texas. She found great joy in gardening and caring for flowers. Blessed with a natural talent for nurturing plants, Jessie was known by family and friends for her remarkable green thumb.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Lionel Amato; her parents, Jess and Ruby Cavanaugh; and her daughter, Patricia Ann

She is survived by her son, Mark Elliott, and his wife, Michelle.
