Jerry L Peck

Jerry L Peck, 67, of Fred passed away peacefully on July 30, 2022.

Born in Fred, Texas to George and Era Peck, he lived in Fred all of his life. He married the love of his life, Brenda Comte Peck, and even after 47 years of marriage he still called her his Angel.  He retired from Tyler County Precinct 4 as a heavy equipment operator and preached where there was need.  Jerry loved his family and adored his grandchildren.

Jerry was preceded in death by his parents, George Virgil Peck and Era Ethel McKee Peck and brothers and sisters.

He is survived by his loving wife of 47 years, Brenda Peck; daughters, Chasity Lamont and husband, Cody of Columbia, LA, Ramona Garcia and husband, Dusty of Corrigan, Cheryl Peck of Zavalla and Audrey Smith and husband, Jeremy of Hillister; grandchildren, Brian Sanchez, Ivette Sanchez, Rodney Lamont, Sabrina Lamont, Caitlyn Garcia, Jordan Garcia, Victoria Stutts, Cody Stutts, Branson Smith and Colben Smith; and a host of other family members and friends.

Funeral service will be held Friday, August 5, 2022, at 10 am at the Riley Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Chris Borden officiating.  Burial will follow at the Fred Community Cemetery.  Visitation will be held Thursday, August 4, 2022, from 5 pm until 7 pm at the funeral home.

Serving as pallbearers will be Sam Dowden, Dusty Garcia, Jeremy Smith, Brian Sanchez, Cody Stutts and Jordan Garcia.  Serving as honorary pallbearers will be Branson Smith and Colben Smith.
