Jerry Cagle Obituary

Jerry Dale Cagle, 89, of Jasper passed away January 23, 2023.

Born in Morehouse, MO to Frank and Florence Cagle, he served in the United States Army during the Korean War.  In 1965 he married the love of his life, Patricia, who supported him and loved him for over 57 years.  They lived in Houston where he was a supervisor for Sam White Motor Co.  After retirement, they moved to the Woodville/Jasper area where they lived many happy years.  Jerry served as deacon for a Baptist Church and loved being outside especially with his grandchildren showing them the many blessings that God gave the world.  He also enjoyed driving his grandchildren and great grandchildren around on the tractor, fishing with them and teaching them  to fix things.

Jerry was preceded in death by his parents, Frank Cagle and Florence Oliver Cagle and sisters, Iylene Wise, Susie Foster and Imagene Sullivan.

He is survived by his loving wife of 57 years, Patricia Cagle; daughters, Debra Nolan-Smith and husband, Steve Smith and Rhonda Thorson and husband, Rob; grandchildren, Matthew Thorson and wife, Emilee, Noelle McWilliams and husband, Zak, Kimberly Soto and husband, Mark and Adam Hamlin; eight great grandchildren plus one on the way, three great, great grandchildren and a host of other family members and friends.

Funeral service will be held Saturday, January 28, 2023, at 1 pm at the Riley Funeral Home Chapel with Brother Bob Williams officiating.  Burial will follow at the Magnolia Cemetery.  Visitation will be held Friday from 5 pm until 7 pm at the funeral home
