Jay Donald Jackson

Jay Donald Jackson, 88, of Woodville, Texas passed away Tuesday, November 1, 2023. He was born, Wednesday, September 25, 1935 in Limestone County, Texas to his parents Homer Ezell Jackson and Frankie Johnson Jackson.

Jay was a loving husband and father to many children both biological/non biological. He was an avid hunter especially coon hunting. Fishing was his real passion. He spent many days on Lake Sam Rayburn fishing with his family. Jay was always willing to help anyone with anything, many times exiting the breakfast/dinner table to go help a neighbor or friend in need. A special thanks to his youngest daughter Amy who spent the last year assisting in his care while living through her own serious health struggles. Jay will be deeply missed by many.

Jay is survived by his loving wife, Winnie Nell Kratz Jackson; children, Tammy Richardson and husband Mike, Jay Lynn Bailey and husband Billy, Jay D. Jackson Jr. and wife Becky, John Jackson and wife Michelle, Frankie Lou Barrett, James Zills, Patty Nichols, Judy Johnson, Barbara Laxton, Connie Pittman, Veronica Enix and husband Thomas, Brian Gilbert, and Amy Largent; brother, Dale Bray, many grandchildren, great grandchildren and numerous other nieces, nephews, and other relatives.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Homer Ezell Jackson and Frankie Johnson Jackson; brother J.C. Bray; daughters, Kathryn Nolan, Bobbie Craig.

 A Memorial Service will be held at a later date.
